CQC Compliance Resources

Checklists, templates and guides for CQC-regulated care providers, built around the evidence inspectors actually ask for.

Everything on this page is free. The published checklist and the in-depth guides are available now. Items marked in preparation are still being written, and you can ask to be notified when they are published. Between them they cover Regulation 17 governance, Regulation 18 staffing and Regulation 19 recruitment evidence.

Common questions

Most services need four things they can keep current rather than rebuild: a staff file audit position covering Regulation 19 evidence, a maintained risk register and action plan for Regulation 17, a training and supervision record for Regulation 18, and a readiness self-check that tells them what they could evidence today. The templates on this page cover each of those.
Yes. Every checklist and template listed here is free to download and use in your own service. They are provided as working documents rather than as a formal compliance product, and they do not replace the Care Quality Commission's own published guidance.
Primarily Regulation 17 (good governance), Regulation 18 (staffing) and Regulation 19 (fit and proper persons employed), which together account for a large share of the evidence CQC asks providers to produce. The guides also cover the fundamental standards and the five key questions more broadly.
A template gives you the structure, but it cannot tell you when something has lapsed or stop work going ahead when it has. Services usually outgrow spreadsheets when the number of expiry dates being tracked manually exceeds what one person can hold, or when evidence needs to be produced across more than one location at short notice.

When templates stop being enough

Statixs is the compliance operating system that turns checklists like these into a live, governed workflow, with evidence recorded as work happens rather than assembled afterwards.
