How it works

1

Schedule

Create a governance review with a type (monthly, quarterly, annual), a date, and named attendees.

2

Conduct

Record attendance, outcomes, and decisions during or after the review. Attach evidence from any module.

3

Close

Sign off the review. Actions raised are tracked to completion. The full record is retained for CQC.

Key capabilities

Scheduled review creation with recurrence

Monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reviews — scheduled in advance with automatic reminders as the date approaches.

Review completion with evidence attachment

Record attendance, outcomes, and decisions. Attach documents directly from compliance and governance records.

Action items raised directly from review

Actions created in a review are tracked in the action plan system — so review decisions are followed up, not forgotten.

Historical review record

Every completed review is retained in full — attendance, decisions, attachments, and outcomes. Available for CQC inspection.

SLA breach alerts for overdue reviews

Reviews that are not completed on schedule are flagged. An overdue governance review affects the governance health score.

Connected to governance health scoring

Review completion rate feeds into the entity benchmarking view — visible at location level and group level.

Regulatory context

CQC Regulation 17 specifically expects regular governance review activity — not as a formality, but as evidenced oversight. The schedule, attendance record, decisions, and follow-up actions must be traceable. This system produces that evidence.
